Lanolin should be applied after each feeding until the skin fully absorbs it. It is also recommended to apply lanolin before every shower to keep the nipples' skin moist. 
The ointment can also treat chapped lips or dehydrated skin.
On frigid days, it is recommended that the tube be warmed a little between the palms of the hands.

Instructions for use:
After each feeding, apply a pea-sized amount of the ointment to the nipple and gently massage it in until the skin absorbs it. The ointment must be removed before the next feeding.
