Shea & Kukui Perfume – a musky floral eau de toilette

The Laline Shea & Kukui Perfume is an eau de toilette that stays close to the skin. It's musky and floral at once. It suits everyday wear as easily as an evening out.

How it smells

The opening is bright, with ylang-ylang and rose. Jasmine and lily of the valley follow, giving the middle more body. The base is warm and musky, with the creamy, buttery character the line is named for.

Shea and kukui are the names of the fragrance family, not oils in the bottle. This is a scented alcohol-based eau de toilette, not a skincare product.

Ingredients

The formula lists Alcohol Denat., Perfume (Fragrance), and Aqua (Water). It also carries fragrance allergens: Benzyl Salicylate, Coumarin, Linalool and Limonene. It also lists Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral, and Benzyl Alcohol.

It also contains the UV filters Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate and Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, plus the colorant CI 14700. The full list is printed on the pack.

How to wear the Shea & Kukui Perfume

Spray lightly onto pulse points such as the neck and the inner wrists. Do not rub the wrists together afterward. Keep it away from the eyes, and off broken or irritated skin.

How long it stays depends on your skin and the weather. An eau de toilette is lighter than a perfume, so expect a few hours, not a full day.

Care and precautions

If your skin is sensitive, try a small amount on the wrist first. Check the ingredient list if you react to fragrance allergens such as Linalool or Limonene. Store the bottle somewhere cool and dark, tightly closed.
