Zostrix cream for local relief of pain from arthritis 30 grams

This cream is designed to relieve local pain caused by arthritis and help reduce the transmission of pain signals to the brain.

Instructions for Use:
Zostrix has a unique mechanism of action and requires a specific method of application:

1. Application:
- Apply a small amount of cream to the painful area of the skin 3 to 4 times a day. A good amount to use is roughly what would cover your pinky nail.
- Massage the cream into the skin thoroughly until it is completely absorbed, leaving no residue on the surface.

2. Sensations:
- It is common to experience a local heat or burning sensation after application.
This indicates that the cream is working, and these sensations should gradually decrease over the first few days and weeks (up to 4 weeks) of treatment.
- Note that if you apply the cream less frequently than recommended (3-4 times daily), you may feel more intense heat or burning.
- High ambient temperatures, humidity, tight clothing, or bathing in hot water can increase this sensation.
You can alleviate discomfort by applying lidocaine before using the cream if necessary.

3. Post-Application Care:
- After applying the cream, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to prevent contact with your eyes or other sensitive body areas.
- If the cream accidentally gets into your eyes, rinse them with plenty of water. For sensitive areas that come into contact with the cream, wash with soap and lukewarm (not hot) water. Extra caution is advised for those who wear contact lenses.

4. Important Tips:
- If you are using the cream on your hands for arthritis pain, avoid washing the applied area for at least 30 minutes after application.
- If you cover the applied area with a bandage, ensure it is not too tight.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes (such as the mouth and nose).
